Morse High Students Help LKRLT

Two teams of students work at Sewall Woods and Thorne Head

May 17 , 2008

morse kidsFor the fourth year, freshmen from Morse High Shool will lend a hand clearing trails and improving conditions at properties owned by the Lower Kennebec Regional Land Trust.

As in past years, a team will pick up winter debris and trash from the popular trails at Thorne Head Preserve in Bath.

And building on efforts begun last year, a second group will work to remove invasive species such as bittersweet and purple loostrife from the Sewall Woods property.

In a few hours of time, with many hands, we are able to complete a significant amount of work, and have fun while doing it!
