Guided Hike from Thorne Head to Sewall WoodsLed by LKRLT President, Jack WithamSaturday, August 2 10:00 amJoin us for a guided hike from Thorne Head Preserve at the northern tip of Bath, along the banks of Whiskeag Creek to our Sewall Woods property (about 1.5 hours with lots of stops for observation). Thorne Head is our most popular and visited property, but now is your chance to be led along some of the lesser traveled trails, over a bridge built by an aspiring Eagle Scout and along the lovely quiet shore of Whiskeag Creek. There is a great chance we will see osprey and even eagles. The trail crosses several small drainages and enters the north side of our Sewall Woods property, conservation land managed as a working woodlot.
Bug spray, binoculars and good walking shoes encouraged!

We will visit the fairy house village built by over 50 children in May and end up at the Sewall Woods parking area on Whiskeag Road. There you can either walk or get a shuttle ride back to the Thorne Head parking area.
