Chris Boden named new host of Chicago Blackhawks radio studio; Judd Sirott becomes play-by-play voice for the Bruins | WGN 720 radio

The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that Chris Boden has been named the team’s radio studio host. Boden will join the organization immediately and replace Judd Sirott who was named radio host for the Boston Bruins earlier today.
In his role, Boden will handle pre- and post-game duties on WGN Radio for all Blackhawks games and also host intermission reports. Boden joins John Wiedeman, the voice of Blackhawks radio, and analyst Troy Murray in the cabin of the Blackhawks radio.
Boden is a Chicago sports media veteran who worked for CSN Chicago for ten years covering the Blackhawks, Bears and serving as a reporter for SportsNet Central. Prior to his stint at CSN Chicago, Boden worked at WMVP-AM 1000, WFLD-Ch. 32, CLTV and NFL Network. A five-year career with WBBM-TV, from 1998 to 2003, followed an eight-year stint at WBBM-AM, where he was a sports presenter and journalist, before becoming a sports director. This was preceded by three years of sports coverage for what is now Illinois News Networks.
Raised in the southwestern Chicago suburb of Burbank, Boden attended Luther High School South in Chicago, where he ran cross country, played soccer, and was part of the championship class basketball team. Graduated from school in 1980. He graduated from Columbia College in Chicago where he headed the sports department of the student radio station.
