Chris Young storms famous radio studio in “Raised On Country” video that looks like Nashville
Chris Young goes straight to the root of his country tradition in the new video for “Raised On Country”.
Everything about his country roots and name-checking icons like Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Joe Diffie, George Strait and more, The Hard Driving Track highlights country radio as Young’s childhood soundtrack. For the video, he and a few comrades in the group take possession of the famous WSM radio tower – the massive antenna that has been broadcasting the Grand Ole Opry across the country since 1932. This tower alone is the reason many people have become fans. of country in the first place, and Young is counted among them.
“As a member of the Opry, I was honored to be able to film” Raised On Country “in and around the WSM radio tower and on the same airwaves where the songs of my musical icons have been broadcast over the years. years, âhe says. “It was a long day and I had a lot of fun filming the video – even in the scenes where we had debris flying in our faces inside the studio.”
Young’s “Raised On Country” video was directed by Peter Zavadil, and finds Young delivering his own country-rock mix “live” to the air. The track is the first taste of an upcoming project by Young, and his 2019 Raised On Country tour kicks off May 16 in Alpharetta, Georgia. This race will feature Chris Janson in live support, as well as Jimmie Allen, LoCash and Dylan Scott on select dates.
