Pittsburgh Native Comes Home With Syndicated Radio Show

PITTSBURGH, PA – It’s kind of back to basics. Woody Fife, from Pittsburgh, will have his morning radio show airing nationally on local airwaves starting next month

“The Woody Show” will debut on alternative rock station 105.9 The X on January 4, the station announced Wednesday. The show will take place during the week from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The station describes “The Woody Show” as a highly interactive and socially engaged event
radio. The show stars Woody with co-hosts Ravey, Greg Gory, Menace and Sebas.

“The entire 105.9 The X family is delighted to welcome Woody back to Pittsburgh,” Abby Krizner, program director and host of the current morning show, told the station’s website. “Woody and his team join a solid lineup with Mark Madden in the afternoon, the best rock and alternative for Pittsburgh, and our unrivaled coverage and broadcast of the Pittsburgh Penguins.”

Fife said his roots in Pittsburgh run deep.

“I was conceived, born and, like Mark Cuban, graduated from high school in Mount Lebanon,” he said. “I’m bleeding in black and gold. My radio career started as an intern at B-94 and continues at 105.9 The X.”
